trampbunny

bio:
Trampbunny is a cybertranssexual who constructed xerself from spare microprocessers, audio interfaces, and lighting control surfaces. A byproduct of queer rave and low-level computations, xe communicates to human life through live coding interfaces, channelling dance music, live video sources, and haptic feedback to make xer presence understood.
June, the artist behind Trampbunny, demonstrates deep connections between live coding and transness, as she is in the process of re-configuring her body. Her artistic practice relies on a continual process of queer liberation, esctatic movement, and expression of gender through technology. June constructs audiovisual portals between her and the audience, hypnotic patterns that swirl, shift, and sublimate.
Apart from improvising techno and video art in a text editor, trampbunny connects electronic art with dance using the Mi.Mu glove. Using a variety of pre-trained gestures, xe exerts a direct somaesthetic power from hands to speakers. A dark ritual emerges that pushes any nearby bodies into groove and step.
